For this challenging commission, I was given old, low-quality photographs of a father and daughter and asked to create a composition of them together in front of a specific building—despite no such photo ever existing. The images of the father were from different periods of his life than what was needed for the scene, so the piece required significant interpretation and creative invention.

Hidden away alongside the Rail Trail in Housatonic, MA runs Williams River. Drawn on location, this setting captures a pool just after a waterfall. In this spot adventuring spirits will sometimes dare to swim in the cold, dark green water.

This drawing from my sketchbook depicts a section of North Plain Farm along the Rail Trail in Housatonic, MA, where I frequently walk my dog. Cows are often at pasture here, and sometimes, hogs are penned near the fence.

This scene was drawn in my sketchbook on location, on a stretch of the Housatonic River at the Housatonic Flats Reserve, MA—one of my favorite spots in the Berkshires. The serene river, with its sandy banks and vibrant surroundings, is often accompanied by the sounds of birds and unseen lowing cows from a nearby farm.
