A personal note about this piece:
What intitally attracted my eye to this scene was the weight, color, and texture of the buildings, the curious, fantastical industrial details, the juxtaposed roses, and the spark of light shooting through the corridor.
Soon, a swifly moving young girl made her way up the hill—steeper than the picture appears— and into the frame, her pace equidistant to the tiles beneath her feet. The girl’s confidence and determination to me punctuated the magnitude of her surroundings. –Æ
